The year a new baby arrived in the family is an exciting time, there are so many "firsts" to come and each one is very special in their own way as your baby develops and learns.

Other than all the amazing firsts such as first smile and first crawl or steps which are landmark days you like to cherish and remember there are other special baby's firsts that pop up in the year and Baby's First Christmas is one of them.

Your baby probably won't really know what is going on and they won't really get the excitement of unwrapping presents yet but it is still a very special occasion as it will be your Baby's 1st Christmas and one that you will always remember fondly.

We were overwhelmed with the response to our Manchester Worker Bee keyrings sold to raise money for the victims of the Manchester Terror Attacks.

So far, you have helped us raise over £1,000 which will be going directly to the funds set up to support the victims of these terrible attacks.

PersonalisedGifts.co.uk is a small family-run business, local to Manchester and we have been so proud to have been in a position to do something to help all those affected.

The demand for the keyrings was more than we could ever have imagined, and for us as a small business, it has proven very tough keeping up with all the orders. We were adamant that we wanted to do this for the people of Manchester, not to make money, so we pledged to take absolutely no profit from them whatsoever.

This meant that we even had to pause sales while we got on top of all the orders, roping in friends and family to help pack and send the keyrings, so to have raised more than £1,000 within a week from our little operation makes us immensely proud indeed.

We hope that those who have ordered like your keyring, and will use it in the knowledge that buying it has in some way helped those who were directly affected by the attacks.

With wedding season fast approaching (well already here), we've been busy working on some new wedding guest book ideas but going on a slight different tangent we've designed some wedding signature guest boards that might be what you are looking for.

First up is our large heart shaped wedding guest board, made form a birch ply and measuring 40cm x 40cm the heart shaped signature board is engraved with the details of your wedding in the middle, you can choose what you want engraving such as Name(s) and wedding date etc.

The board only needs a standard biro pen available for your guests to sign it (Sharpie's and marker pens don't work as well as the ink spreads a bit).

After your wedding you can then be creative on how you want to display it around your home depending on what suits your needs best.

Our other signature guest board is a framed board, now this again uses a birch ply wood again but is encased in a frame so is ready to hand on the wall straight away after your wedding. The frame measures 43cm x 33cm and internally there is a wooden board that your guests can sign (the area for signing is 38cm x 28cm). In the center of the board is a engraved heart in a cherry veneer that has your own personalisation on to stand out with space for your guests to sign all around it.

The traditional gift for 5 years of marriage is a wooden gift, aside from the obvious naughty gag there are plenty of wooden gifts that you can give to mark the 5 year wedding anniversary.

So knowing how much dog owners love their pooches we've come up with some personalised dog Christmas tree decorations to really show they are part of the family.

We have launched 2 new dog tree decoration designs this week, the first is a personalised dog bone tree decoration design with 2 couple of paw prints engraved on it and then some stars cut out around the edge, in the middle of the bone we will engrave your dog’s name and it comes ready to hand with a festive twine.

The other design is our personalised dog paw and a bone attached to each other, again it has some stars cut out and your dog’s name is engraved into the middle of the bone.

 If your dog has perhaps passed away and gone over the Rainbow Bridge then we can also do these with a small engraving of "You left a paw print on our hearts" at the bottom of each design so you can keep it as a lovely reminder.

There is a lovely saying that is used on special occasions to help mark that someone special is not able to be there.

"Because someone we love is in heaven there's a little bit of heaven in our home" is the saying which is often used around the home and especially at Christmas time when it is a family occasion and everyone likes to be close to those friends and family that we love.

For weddings this saying can be adapted slightly to read:

"Because someone we love is in heaven there's a little bit of heaven at our wedding".

You might again find that this is hung from somewhere or carried by the bride or groom somewhere on their wedding day if there is maybe parents or Grandparents or friends who have passed away. It just helps you remember them and have that feeling of them being there in spirit with you on the wedding day.

The A6 sized notebooks are spiral bound and measure 15cm x 11cm and contain 200 pages of 120gsm ruled paper with perforated edges for easy removal if required.

With Father Christmas travelling all around the world dropping presents off at every child's house who believes in him he is in for one very long night and one that will take him many millions of miles, as you can expect, that is hard work for him and the reindeer.

This is why it is so important to make sure that Santa is well fed and watered and so are his reindeer, with that in mind and with speaking with some of Santa's Elves we have created a personalised Santa Plate that you can leave out with space for a mince pie, a drink of milk (or something stronger if you think he would like that) and a place for a carrot for the reindeer to eat.
